Cancer is the growth of abnormal cells that don't follow the normal cellular pattern of generation and degeneration.

Unlike healthy cells that grow, divide, multiply and die, cancerous cells keep growing and dividing without dying, forming tumors.

They also break off and travel through the lymph or blood system to other sites of the body in a process called metastasism.
