Ok so I started Lexapro at the end of Nov I got up to 20 mgs...about three weeks ago my med dr lowered it to 10 mgs and started me on 50 mgs of luvox...took it for one week and upped to 100 mgs of luvox continued the 10 mgs of Lexapro did this for about a week then on Monday she said stop the Lexapro and start 150 of luvox at night... I woke up Tuesday morning sick headache nausea weird feeling so she said take 100 in the morning and 50 at night my symptoms aren't getting any better so I called today and they said do 50 in the morning and 50 at night...I literally have never felt this terrible im and terrified... has this anyone been through this... I cant wrap around that medicine could make me feel this way...why would this happen the dr was very short with me I keep thinking that something serious is wrong and its just a coincidence with the meds sorry for the long story but figure the more info the better

Why did you switch from Lexapro to Luvox? Not many people take Luvox, so probably a lot of people don't know about it.
Do you think what you're going through is anything different from the usual side effects of a new medication. Maybe if you
asked very specific questions as to what you're concerned about, others can help.

I switched from Lexapro cause i wasn't helping...I just didn't know if it could be the medicine that could make me feel like this between stopping the Lexapro and upping the luvox...i literally feel like i am dying I feel off headaches nausea weak... im just scared!!

I would suggest you take a benzo if you have some to calm down and maybe reevaluate that new drug your on.I would speak to my doc.

I tried Luvox a long time ago, but it made me very ill. Those are typical side effects (for some of us). Some of your sickness could also be related to withdrawal from the Lexapro. I know it's scary, and everything seems that much worse when you're nauseated - I get panicky too when I don't feel well. You can either try to wait it out, lower the dose back to where you felt okay and then go up more slowly, or try something else (all under your doc's supervision, of course!). And if your doc wasn't nice to you - find someone who is (hopefully you can!). Good luck to you!!

thank you for replying its not that she isn't nice shes short and straight to the point... she is a new dr for me so I don't have trust with her yet.. im a bit confused about possible Lexapro withdrawls because of the cross tapper.. feeling like crap is a huge trigger for me exp when its a completely different symptom experience :/
