:)
So I'm like new to this Anxiety Forum. My name is Martha...I go by Marty, I'm 30 years old and not really sure what to do but I am sure of what I need. I need HELP!!! ...I've only had this anxiety for about 2months. I hate to say this but I'm glad that I'm not alone. This Anxiety thing has made me very irritable. I always have a "Need to do something" feeling. By doing anything I tend to keep my mind off it (anxeity) but as soon as I relax...BOOM it's there again! I hate not having control! :| ....I was checking out this forum and it seems pretty cool. I can actually relate to most of you in here.
So I have to admit I hate taking any kind of pills (DR. has me on Xanax, but I won't take them). Is there any natural ways to go about this or am I stuck being like this for the rest of my life??? :( ....I also developed insomnia.... now for the insomnia my husband suggested  POT  and so at this piont I'm willing to try anything! Now it helps with my insomnia but it makes me extremly paranoid...but to tell you the truth my husband suggestion made my life a little better. Yah my anxiety is not gone but with sleep I can deal with it better.
I just want to know if there is anything else I can use (no pills).

Thank You and Good Luck

Hi Martha, nice to chat with you. Wow, that feeling of always needing to do something.....it's like you can't sit still.....(with your mind I mean?) Okay, for me, one of the worst times is lying in bed trying to fall asleep.....sometimes the panic overcomes me.....so I have to deep breathe and shake myself up a little or else take Ativan to knock me out. It's not always like this, but a fair amount of time. Uh, pot smoking to relax? Well, that 's up to you. Personally, I can't stand the smell of pot!! It's not going to help you in the long run or resolve the problem....and you might become addicted. You know....."Hey Pot Head!" Sorry, I just had to throw that in there for some comic relief.

Actually, I am thinking of joining a therapy group somewhere...I don't want pills again. I need to relax more.....hypnosis maybe?

Hypnosis sounds good, I haven't tried it yet but my mother used to go see a guy 20 years ago and says she can still go into a state of deep relaxation using the techniques and mantras he taught her!
