I have tried so many different medication combinations lately and they only time I felt even close to good was when I was on Zyprexa, Prozac and Buspar, but when I went off the Zyprexa I had a major crash so I'm not sure how much the Prozac and Buspar were doing. I'm totally discouraged over all the different meds and still not feeling good. Most days my mood is like a 3, which is better than a 1 or 2 but still sucks...when I take Ativan I may get up to a 5. But I'm having to take more and more Ativan to get the same effect, so that worries me. I did have a lot of side effect with Zyprexa which is why I went off of it, but I'm getting desperate! Has anyone taken Zyprexa long term and had the side effects get any better? Or has anyone had the same experience where Zyprexa seemed to be the only medication that worked to make you feel actually happy?
Anything anyone has to offer is welcome! Thanks.

Hi,
I've taken Zyprexa(Generic Olanzapine) at 10mgs for above 6 months for insomnia issues which only Zyprexa fixed. The side effects (weight gain) on this med is terrible. My body also felt heavy and and my muscles felt weak. For these reasons I've discontinued it, at least temporarily.

I'm afraid I will never feel happy without the Zyprexa! I have some "good" days, about once a week if I'm lucky...Abilify just doesn't work the same.
