please help

so Ive been on Lexapro since December was on 20mg a week ago my new dr lowered my dose to 10 mgs and started me on 50 mgs of luvox...ive been on the combo for about a week now... she also lowered my klonopin.... long story short im scared I have the serotonin syndrome I looked it up on web md and I feel like I have those symptoms:(

I just had a bad cold a few days ago but today I have chills headache sweating off and on etc

I know you've said before, but why are you on two SSRIs?

Maybe call your doctor tomorrow and chat about your combo if you feel really unwell.

Even if you did have serotonin syndrome, it doesn't sound like it's serious. The fatal type is where your temperature is over 10,000 degrees, and when you're hallucinating dragons... that kinda thing.

Most low grade cases are treated quite easily.

Do I think you have serotonin syndrome? I'm not sure, not really, although it's always hard to tell just judging by symptoms. I wouldn't really wanna call it, even though it's pretty unlikely. Simply cos you're on two SSRIs.

SS can mimic the effects of both anxiety and start up symptoms. Makes it difficult to see what's a mild case and what's normal.

I wouldn't be worried if I were you though. A quick chat with the man in the white coat should help ease your mind. You'll be ok until then, trust me ;). And you're more than likely ok now, as SS isn't the most common of things.

Somebody on this forum had serotonin syndrome. They said it was little more than an inconvinience.

ty for replying to me...she said to take both to keep a right amount in my body but I really don't like this idea

I get why you don't like the idea of taking two meds. It's stressful enough taking one sometimes!
