Hey guys, so finally this Wednesday is my first psychiatry session and I was hoping if you guys can give me some advice on what to expect? Because I'm in such need of help mentally and I want to do everything possible not to get a misdiagnoses. Also I'm kind of getting cold feet because I'm scared of saying that I see things in the corner of my eye or that I hear weird noises at night that she's gonna automatically diagnose me with schizophrenia. Any advice would help tremendously, seriously!!

Hi Jason,

Don't worry about the session. Tell the therapist everything! You won't be saying anything that they haven't heard before!

The only way to sort this out and get help is to lay it all out. Before you go, it might be helpful to make a list of all issues and symptoms you have so that you don't forget to tell them anything which may be valuable.

Good luck on Wednesday, this is an excellent step on the road to recovery!

Cheers
Pam
