Keep myself to myself mind my own business. Only go out to work or to do things by myself, don't socialise as it's not worth the hassle. I barely post on Facebook apart from shares and somehow I've still managed to find myself blocked by someone with no explanation. I hate people and will never understand them. Anxiety overload.

How do you know that you are blocked? You are not checking that spamming links on facebook? something like " check who has blocked you"?

Some people are just stupid. You haven't done anything wrong to make them block you. Can I ask if it was someone close to you or was it a random person? I was blocked by my stepdad after my mom died. He is still friends with my little brothers and talks to them. For some reason he decided to take out all of his anger on me, but I know I didn't do anything wrong to make him mad. Some people just have their own issues that they need to deal with, and maybe they are unfairly taking it out on you. Or maybe that person just doesn't understand you and doesn't even try to. But it's not your fault :)

Don't let it get to you, that is exactly what they are trying to do, if they did indeed block you. They could have very well just deleted their account as well. A couple people have me blocked, one is because he is my ex and he can't stand seeing me with another guy, that's what he told me, so whatever, and the other I have no clue what I did. It bothered me for a day or so, but I have bigger things to worry about than to worry if people like me or not. Keep your head up!!

It is a block because I know others that are still friends with her and I can still access it from my other profile. I'm trying to to dwell on it but am frustrated as to why I couldn't possibly have done anything I don't see her that much or post on Facebook. Tempted to confront her.

Facebook is great provided all you want to see are the pictures of peoples evening meal, and their children's ordinary achievements "just look how well Lilly can draw a picture of a cat" (I would be pretty worried she had global delay if she couldn't at her age).

Or "10 years since you died grandpa and I miss you every day". (Does your dead grandpa have a Facebook account that he still reads?) if not then who the hell is this intended for?

My ultimate favourites are the couples that endlessly talk/fight with each other in full view of everyone they know! This I would equate to screaming at each other across the table at a friends wedding reception.

I don't like Facebook, I always end up reactivating and deactivating my account because I get fed up of it. I understand being blocked hurts, I've been blocked by a few people but I deserved it. But one person blocked me last year because she hated my friend??? Such a retarded reason. Don't let Facebook bring you down, some people can act like Jackasses on that website. Like Dahila said I wish it had never been created in the first place, people now think that they need Facebook.

Thats funny . I never really look at that side of it . I use it for a few local buy swap sell site and thats it . Oh but i have been locking for my mums side of the family i know nothing about .

It's interesting from a "digital identity" point of view.

All the "posed" , "we are having such a great time" "look at me, my new car, my new house, my fabulous life", when the vast majority of the ones I know personally are as exciting as a magnolia coloured wall in reality.

I had to deactivate Facebook as I was getting friend requests from clients (not allowed)

I had to get rid of my old Facebook, as I'd met so many people working in sales, that by the end, 8/10 people on my friends list I'd never really gotten to know.

I keep one now for people I've met here, and people I chat to about diet and stuff. I'm quite happy with that.

I hadn't considered that clients would want to friend request you. I guess that was quite an issue having to 'reject' somebodies friend request to remain professional.

Bet you don't miss all the shares from mothers though, posting pictures about how much they love their kids. I can just imagine the therapy in 10 years time.

Therapist: Tell me about your mum. Did she ever tell you she loved you?

Patient: No, not that I can recall, but she did like several posts on her Facebook account that said Share if you love your kids.

Ha ha ha ha Apparently I was told to "set security" on it???? .... I have trouble negotiating my phone let alone social media security. It was a real personal revelation though, in the sense that I realised that I find people that sit away from the ordinary far more interesting than the dull relentless boredom of "average life".

I often saw the 2.4 kids, middle class "family holiday" in Lanzarote pics and thought "thank f*#k that's not me!

There were some folk that I enjoyed updates from (watching an ex work colleague bringing up a child with severe learning difficulties, watching the "mile stones" that average folk take for granted).

But my own personal "friends list" in the most part was filled with self absorbed "keeping up appearances" types.

I prefer people slightly more unhinged! :)

Its a good job you found us then fourteen ;) We have all the unhinged you could need!

Of course!

In my real life, ALL my close friends are in some way unusual, neurotic , eccentric or a combination of all 3!
