I haven't been diagnosed yet with GAD, basically a lot of anxiety and depression. However I just started seeing a psychatrist and psychologist for the first time in my life. I have been experiencing excessive worry and anxiety for at least 6 months and other physical symptoms have follow later. I started getting them after dealing with a high anxiety/stressful situation with my mom's health 7 months ago.
These are my symptoms:
Excessive, ongoing worry and tension
An unrealistic view of problems
Restlessness or a feeling of being "edgy"
Irritability
Muscle tension
Headaches
Sweating
Difficulty concentrating
The need to go to the bathroom frequently
Tiredness
Trouble falling or staying asleep
Trembling
Being easily startled
Hard time swallowing
Fast heartbeat
hand tremors
shakes
hot flashes
Body aches
What did you guys go through with your GAD? And what medications and forms of therapy etc have helped you?
