Hi, my name is Beth. I'm new to this site but certainly not new to anxiety and panic attacks. It's been an on and off life long struggle. Recently - after having a LOT of life changes the last 4 years I find that I'm really struggling again:( I've been off meds for a couple of years and I really hesitate to go back on. So, that's it in a nutshell.
On the fun side - I'm generally a happy upbeat person (hide my anxiety well). I have a great family, 2 grown awesome sons and wonderful boyfriend. Decent job. My interest are SciFi (Sherlock, Doctor Who, Merlin, Star Wars, Star Trek), books and working out.
I'm hoping to find and give support to people like me. Together we can cope!

Hi, Beth. Welcome aboard
Based on the shows you like, I take it you are from the UK?
Not many will hold that against you if you are. LOL.
Why are you hesitant to go back on meds again?
How did they work last go round?

Hey Beth - welcome!
Sorry to hear that things are not in "tip top shape" for you at the moment. But trust me when I say, you are not alone. If you aren't feeling the medication route, I suggest just familiarizing yourself with the symptoms and ways to cope with them again. :) I found recently that reading is a plus for me too...its completely distracting and enjoyable. :) I recently finished Wild Fell by Michael Rowe, that book sucked me right in even though it scared the crap out of me haha. To the tune of Dori from Finding Nemo "Just keep reading, just keep reading - what do we do? We read, read!" :P
