Anyone else get alarmed if they can't yawn? I do, is weird. Doesn't it mean you aren't getting enough oxygen to your brain?? That seems scary

Means you're hyperventilating and to stop yourself breathing in even more oxygen, your body prevents you from yawning. :)

That's happened to me before, a few years back. I felt like I wanted to yawn but couldn't, my anxiety level was pretty high at the time.

Do you mouth breathe? This happens a lot more frequently when you mouth breathe. It's hard to hyperventilate when you breathe through your nose.

I VERY much mouth breathe, always trying to get deep breaths

I have a memory from when I was about 4 or 5. I was bawling my eyes out and I told my mom that my yawn wouldn't come out. It makes me laugh to think of it.
