Hello!
So I'm new to this and not sure where to start-I think I've been suffering with anxiety for a little while now but have never had it formally diagnosed so looking to see if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms.
In September last year I had a few big changes in my life, moving on my own to a city and recovering from an eating disorder, and since then I've been noticing some weird stuff. Does anyone else get their vision going odd? Can't really explain in-but mainly by depth of perception goes a bit odd, or things are too bright, or they go foggy? And I also keep constantly checking how I'm feeling, to the point where I start getting thoughts that I feel weird and getting really freaked out.
I've always been a worrier and also suffer from low self esteem and a constant need for approval, and used to suffer from social anxiety (mainly going red a lot) but that seems to have gotten better recently.
Sorry for the essay, if anyone could offer any advice/ just to see if I'm not alone that would be incredible!
Thanks a lot :)

Hey! Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like you've made some positive steps in your life, but change is always hard, and can be highly stressful.
All of the symptoms you've mentioned are normal to experience when you're feeling anxious, the vision, the thoughts.
I would worry maybe that everything is going well with your diet, and you're not suffering from any major deficiencies. Apart from that I think one of the important things is not to be freaked out by these symptoms, they are completely normal.
The low self esteem and constant need of approval can be very hard to overcome, I haven't yet managed to do so myself.
I really hope you get the help you need.

You are not alone.
Best wishes,
Abi.

Ah hello thank you for the reply!
I think the diet idea is a good plan- my days at the moment are a bit all over the place with not much time to myself or routine, but I think doing that would be a good plan.
Also, just a quick question, recently I've had a lot of existential thoughts about life and why we're here etc to the point where I begin to obsess over them, do you know if that could be to do with anxiety? Thanks again :)

Welcome to the forum

Anytime you have a question and the word"obsession" is in it, that would be anxiety

Hello again, Nixon is right, whenever you find your self start to obsess over something, it is likely to be due to anxiety.
Thoughts about life, and meaning I think are normal for anyone, it's probably due to some stress and extra anxiety that these thoughts and questions are becoming a little obsessive. To answer your question, yes it is most likely to do with anxiety.
I hope you're feeling OK.
