Have you ever found yourself predicting your feelings regarding something you have planned to do later in a day or the next day. You actually think about how bad your going to feel before it even comes. I have found if I could get a hold of this sort of predicting of my feelings before it gets out of hand I can usually have a good day. It's interesting just how much of a bad day or a good day is probably in the high 90% caused by thinking. Well at least for me that is what i've noticed.

What i do is when I find myself predicting how I'm going to feel (which is usually bad) I block it out and say to myself I can't know how I'm going to feel and just detach myself from it for the time being. The time comes and the event comes and turns out it never is what I predicted. Funny thing is even though I've proven the thoughts mostly wrong, I still seem to give them power.

I can totally relate, I always do this. I find a lot of my anxiety is preemptive, all those worries about what is going to happen, and if you're going to cope, and it never happens how you thought it would. It's good that you've found a way to block all that out.
I still struggle, even after getting my evidence that a certain situation is perfectly safe and I can cope, I still get anxious the next time around.
My therapist told me it's all about increasing your comfort zone.
Hopefully with time the anxiety starts to fade.
Best wishes.

Oh I didn't completely find a block for it. It is still a battle it's just that i get some good days if I get to it before it gets out of hand.

I'm sorry I must have misread, I am pretty tired.
In that case, it's good that you can sometimes head it off before it gets out of hand.
I wish you luck with your ongoing battle.
