I was driving today...and I stopper at a stop sign...and I got a an attack of dizziness, felt like time had stopped and I couldn't see straight. For like 5 minutes.. called the on call doctor he told me to go to the emeegency room...and not to drive until this is figured out. :(

Very scary for you ab, are you feeling better now.

Better safe than sorry, stop driving for the moment. Don't want any harm to come to you. Hope you get this figured out really fast!

Please update when you can!

Just got out of the er...They don't know what caused it But noticed my blood pressure goes from normal to high when I stand and my heart rate goes from 87 to 130 when I stand. That's all they know. But I was sitting down driving.. so who knows... but I'm not allowed to drive for a while now. ;/

Glad you are out of the ER! So the good thing is you're headed home to relax I hope. Stressful scary day for you!

Try your best not to worry too much. For the moment you are ok or they wouldn't have let you go. You will get this sorted out, you don't strike me as a lady who won't seek the answers.

No fun not driving but better safe than sorry until you get it figured out.

Be well and take it easy!
All the best.

I'm not scared anymore, there isn't much of a point if something happens...it happens. I gotta just keep pushing forward. It sucks. I wanted to blame anxiety for everything. What's going on isn't anxiety. I have anxiety becaude of it...lol. I can't drive! ! I'm gonna go nuts

at least that's what I would probably do in your case friend...get you on some of the right medications for your heart too.
Hopes that you find your answers rather than sitting in ER'S....and leaving them wondering what the hell is going on....

We're all thinking of you and hope you get well soon Alaina!!!

Enduronimoe... :) :) :)

Its kind of crappy because the meds for my heart slow it down too much because I'm at a normal rate most of the time.. I have to go through with the study where they put the catheters through both veins up to my heart, and they are going to try to study it and see what's going on...while pumping it with adrenaline and trying to make me go into an arrythmia...all while I'm awake. :/ I don't know If this is the best place for me to say that. In still not convinced it's my heart causing all of this..I think it's my body out of whack from the extreme emotions I've been carrying around. I dunno. Damnit:(

That happens to me from time to time. My doc told me it was med related. Ive been through pretty much every test you can get. Effexor was doing this to me. I get brain shocks some time from it too.

Hi mrs, brain shocks or as I call them brain Zaps are a nasty side effect of Effexor most commonly experienced if you are coming off this drug.

The best way I can describe them is you feel like your brain is wobbling in your skull when your head is perfectly still . Kind of like a bobble head doll.

My other experience is that it feels like if you are moving forward, your brain is following behind a couple of seconds later it catches up with your body.

Very unnerving experience. You kind of feel dizzy and often nauseous.

Best way I found to combat this.... High doses of Omega 3's and my personal favourite, Gravol. The omegas work on the neurotransmitters in the brain to help smooth out the electrical impulses as your brain adjusts to the lower doses of the drug.

Some times I would experience them if I was late taking my meds.

Sorry explanation is long....
Cheers!

Hi ab,

I'm so sorry you are having such a rough go if it. Has to be so unnerving not to mention scary.

Continue to check into the medical reasons for what is going on, if that comes Back ok, then look at meds. What you are describing to me is beginning to sound like what was mentioned before, brain freeze or zaps as I like to call them.

If you are seeing a psdoc, mention what's happening to you, they might have some insight.

Hang in there, you are going to figure this one out!

Thinking of you!

Thanks..I appreciate the help. Although I'm not on medication right now, and its just bursts of almost passing Out. Doctors will never know what's going on unless they catch me in the middle of it. That's the hard part. :(
