Hello,

I have dealt with crippling anxiety for my entire life. I also have insomnia and depression issues. I'm starting to realize that there is no easy fix, and that is making me despair. I have tried everything. Antidepressants are terrible. Exercise barely touches the anxiety. Dietary changes, therapy, cutting out nicotine and caffeine and alcohol. I've done everything and the anxiety won't go away.

I get panic attacks often.

The only thing that seems to give me the relief I need is large doses of benzos. And that makes me feel like a junky.

I'm sick of it. I'm finally sick of it and I'm tired and worn out from battling this.

Can't believe you're a regular poster and nobody welcomed you in your thread!!!!

Nice to meet you. I've already seen you around and spoken to you, but hate threads with 0 posts.

What is your anxiety like? Resistant anxiety is a bitch. Does it hit you with just that all day tension feeling like you're gonna go pop? Do you worry over small things? Constant butterflies in the stomach?

No worries! Thanks for posting. (I just saw this today, myself.)

You hit the nail on the head. All day long, a constant, nagging, incessant feeling of unease. Tension. Stomach pain is one of my main complaints.

I know I have it a lot better than many other people who come to this forum. But it still affects my quality of life and I'm continuing to search for solutions.

Hi Kabukicho,

If you figure out a solution to the stomach problems, please share.

The pain /nausea lasts for days after an attack .

Arrggghhhh something went wrong and sent the reply before I finished typing.

Anyway, I would be interested in your or anyone else's strategies for the dreaded bad stomach.

My strategies aren't helping at the moment and am willing to try something else.

I think I did welcome you in one of your other posts, but if I didn't I apologize, and welcome! I find many of your replies to posts very insightful!

Cheers!
~Pam

Well, some basics that you probably already know...

Cut out the caffeine and nicotine. I don't mean limit your intake. Cut it out. Exercise (I run 3 miles a day). Surround yourself with good people. Do something you love and get paid for it. Find your spiritual center, whatever that may be. Chamomile tea. Xanax. Hot baths. Positive thinking.

That's what keeps me decently leveled out.

Great minds think alike! I'm only falling down in a couple of places that you mention.

Nicotine ....am almost there but not quite.
Spiritual center.... Getting there too, making progress but haven't solidified anything in my brain.

Thanks for the suggestions, helps me see what to refocus on.

Cheers!
