I've been put back on Sertraline, took my first one last night before bed & this morning when i woke up i was shaking. I had this the last time i was on them but i can't remember how long it took for it to completely go away. Anyone else had this with Sertraline?

Sertraline made my anxiety skyrocket; I couldn't last more than three days on it. It's an "activating" SSRI so, yeah, the shakiness is to be expected. I had that. I also had massive, day-long panic attacks and thought I was going to die. So, be glad if it's just shaking.

I don't know when the shaking might go away because, like I said, I stopped.

I was out on this sertraline med by my primary care doctor. Boy!! My heart was racing an hour after taking it. Had to got to the ER. The paramedics asked the ER doctor if this medication cause palpitations or racing heart beat... The doctor had a big question in her face!!!! I stopped the med! I hear it's helpful for many people. Unfortunately not my case. :-/

That happened to me before but not so much this time. When i woke up with my heart pounding it made my anxiety worse somehow. How you feeling with it?

I had a similar experience with this med. I took it and two days later I went into SVT (HR was 240). I asked doctors if that Zoloft had anything to do with it and they just looked at me like I was crazy. I stopped it.

I like the med. After being on it for a while I get no side effects from it. I take 100 mg but I could also take 200 mgs with no problem. When you start a new med you should use benzos for 3 or 4 days until your system adjusts to the med.

My side effects have eased off now after 5 days of being on it. I don't think we get benzos in the UK, i've never heard of them.

Benzos stand for benzodiazepines. The most effective anti anxiety med for short term or intermittent use. What a sad state of affairs that you don't get any due to fear mongering.
