So some may know I've gotten some zoloft. I was told by the doctor to take half a pill in the morning for one week. It's been three days but I have to go to work tomorrow and I was wondering if I should just take a full pill so I'm even more chill I guess you could say. It's only been three days but I really don't want to freak out. Half of one makes my body a tiny bit drowsy but I heard that it will for the first few times I'll take it so I'm wondering how one full one will make me feel? I don't want to faint or pass out or some crap lol but I really really can't be bugging out at work so idk what to do. Now I've taken pills and used to get high so I know what it feels like to be a little messed up but I don't want to like be out of it at work In a sense where I'm drowsy and feel like my body's weak and stuff cuz I'll usually feel a little drowsy when it starts to kick in but after that I'm fine

Unfortunately antidepressants are really slow to work, so even if you took the full one, it probably wouldn't do much other than maybe give you a little nausea from going up a dose.
Do you have benzos? Do they work for you? That's where the short term magic happens :)

There's no problem taking both. Benzos can make you a little drowsy, so you could even go really low, and cut that lorazepam in half.

Zoloft won't make you feel anything after only 3 days. I have been off and on it so many times. Lorezapam will definitely help calm you, so it's a great thing to keep on hand so you can take as needed.

I'm new here to the forum. I'm a 33 year old female with a history of anxiety. I hope the Zoloft works for you. I took it several years ago & it did wonders for my anxiety. However, I gained 40 LBS. in just 3 years on it! I went from 5'4 145 lbs., to 5'4 180 lbs.! It bloated me & I looked awful. I kept asking my doctor if it was the medicine, but he said "probably not, you're just eating too much. Eat less, workout more." I kept telling him that I wasn't eating more. I ate the same as before the medicine, and worked out 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes to an hour, but kept gaining weight. I finally decided to go off of it myself, as my doctor wouldn't listen. I weaned myself off over several weeks, and the weight started falling off rapidly. It was the medicine most definitely. I am now back to my old weight 145 lbs. and eat about whatever I want without gaining. I recently tried Prozac & Celexa for my anxiety, but they made me feel weird. I felt like I was in a fog & almost had an aggressive feeling. I didn't like them, and stopped taking them. I've come to the conclusion no SSRI med work for me. I don't want to take controlled meds. My doctor wrote me Ativan for anxiety attacks, but I'm reluctant to take them, as I don't want to get addicted to them. I'm thinking of going the natural route- vitamins, St. john's wort, exercise, yoga, etc. Good luck with your Zoloft, I hope you don't experience any side effects with it. Keep us updated!

All good advice thank u very much. I just don't know what to do. I'm gonna get fired and lose my house. My boss is mad at me and he's my uncle but that doesn't matter. My parents yell at me to go out and no one understands me but all of you and I very much do really appreciate all of your support. This is the only place I feel like I belong and people understand me on here. I'm just so depressed and idk what to do. As soon as I feel confident to go out it all comes crashing down on me. I can't hang out with friends and I don't like going anywhere except my therapist and even then I'm a little panicky.

Hey to newbies Kristina and Pathfinder girl. Good to have you here :)
Perhaps nows the time to try the lorazepam, to see of it can help and get you moving again, at least for a couple of days. You seem pretty desperate, and lorazepam is a med for the desperate.

Yeah I know it's alright to take both I guess but idk I'm not an expert on either one so idk if I want to take both. I'm desperate and feel like there's no hope for me at all
