Hi, I'm a 19 year old male, and for a few years now I have suffered from a weird anxiety/phobia of sitting in front of other people, for example at a theatre or an assembly. Even at college during lessons I prefer to sit in the back row.
I can't explain why I feel this way, but whenever I have to sit anywhere other than the back row, I feel very uneasy, my breathing rate increases dramatically and I become shaky, and a sense of dread fills my body, and I feel like I have to escape, as if my life depends on it.
As it is such an odd phobia, I haven't spoken to anybody about it, as I find it embarrasing.
It seems to be getting worse as I don't know how to deal with it, and I am even dodging important events such as weddings and university open days because of it.
If anybody else suffers from the same thing, or thinks they could help me, please contact me!
