A short poem on anxiety and fear...

If fear were a God, he would rain arrows down on me.
The arrows of pain hit my mind and heart.
As I lose all reality, I wonder how to escape this pain.
I am trapped in my mind.
I was to be free again but it won't let me go.
As I struggle to breathe, I wonder why. Why me.
To be normal again would be a gift.
A gift I hope to touch again.
I know this pain will subside one day.
I look for that day to come again.
When my anxiety finally ends.
I will live my life for me and the ones I love again.
