I had to smile, really you made me smile, even if this was not your intention.
I found the tread "dizziness" in bar
Anxiety symptoms sticky 338 posts and another (they are two top ones) http://anxietyforum.net/forum/showthread.php?23992-woke-up-and-had-balance-problems&highlight=dizzyness

I have this feeling a lot.....and my doctor has expressed that with stress and anxiety flare ups I "clench" my teeth more and this can cause inner ear pain/issues. I just live with it, I cannot eat without having my jaw pop in and out of place and its painful and loud. Anyways maybe you are clenching your teeth at night. Google TMJ if you haven't and you will see that sometimes your symptoms can be a factor , I have a bite guard I wear (not as often as I should) when I sleep and it keeps your jaw in a comfortable position and it does help with ear pain, unbalanced feeling etc. I may be way off....but it might help :) I wouldn't think getting water in your ears in a bath would cause this, and if it did I wouldn't think it would happen quite so fast or with minimal exposure like a bathtime, unless you where submerged for a couple of ours like swimming :)

Oh about the ears, I have all answers. I have a hearing loss and went through a hell with vertigo, it came back a few days ago. Every time i wash the hair , I dry my ears with the drier, If the water is trapped you rather get swimmers ear, very painful. Most imbalances are caused by inner ear infection. That is tricky it does not give you any symptoms but vertigo.
I am on Iron supplement, my red cells count was down or is, because I am still dizzy.. Maybe you should get some tests, sometimes it is easy to find what cause it.
Some meds cause dizziness, mine do. Whatever causes it is difficult to live with it. Forwells have dizziness for years. Anxiety will cause it too, but not that often..
Hormones, change in levels, especially before the period causes dizziness.
That's my expierence, and I can not look up when my head is on right side ; awful dizziness:)
Blessedmom is right, I forgot about clenching the teeth, after working for years as dental technician I should remember it :(
