Been given this medication today 20mg. Do i take them with food or on a empty stomach?

Oh it will!!! It'll stop all the (my chest hurt, my side hurts, my throat hurts, i keep belching, I keep burping, I have heartburn)....All of it.

There's always a simple answer to your questions, you're not very complicated!!!...LOL!!
This will remove much of that anxiety too...you'll realize it's just stomach acid and completely normal..YAY!!! (it'll stop chest pains..)

How long does it take for these tablets to work?

I take it daily. Usually 24 hours or so before results . Up to 4 days for full effect.. One time I took it only a few hours before I felt relief but I got off and started again and it took longer.. Its a ok med to take and you should take it 30 min before any meal!! That would b more effective..

So it does not have to be taken daily? It would be nice to limit the pills I take every day. I think a lot of gas, pain, heartburn and other unpleasant symptoms are the result of taking the pills and anxiety, for sure the stomach acid...
