It's been several days since I discontinued using, from 300 mg to 0...I have dehydration-like effects, runny nose, sore throat, intense fatigue, headache & bodyache (and flu syndrome in general), my thinking is weak, my anxiety through the roof and I'm even feeling hostile which is unusual. Is this normal? How much longer? I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to feel like I have influenza the rest of my life.

Are you sure it is withdrawal of Gabapentin? I could be cold or chronic rhinitis. I am interested in answers to this thread, I am on it. Why are you stopping the meds?
300mg is nothing. I am on 900 a day. Zero side effects so far. sometimes i forget to take a dose or two and nothing happens

Thx guys.

God I hope it's just a flu. But a side effect of gabapentin is 'flu syndrome' so there's no way to tell. All I can say is I'm hyper aware of my sick cycles even accounting for different strands, and if this is a cold, it's highly irregular.

Timeline - 1 week:

Day 1 reduction of anxiety
Day 2 sore throat, yellow phlegm, aches (particularly lower back)
Day 3 Same as day 2 [sad2] + fatigue increases + sore joints
Day 4 (sad3) dehydration causes sore throat makes swallowing difficult, my nose dries creating persistent sore (still not healed), lips chapt and hands peeling.
Day 6 Same as 1-5 plus uncharacteristic hostility (begin drinking gallons of water to balance out dehydration)
Day 7 Same + night sweats that soak the bedding, when I stand up, the sweat drips down my body en masse (really alarming) happens multiple times a night.
Day 8 same except sore throat diminishes
Day 9-11 flu like symptoms remain static, exhausted, not thinking clearly, etc

The reason I'm so alarmed is, why isn't this going away?
