Had this horrible sharp pain on and off in the right side of my neck all day :( hurts soo bad!!! hope it's just the way I've been sleeping

Rub some muscle pain relief cream on it and see if that helps,..muscle strain..Stress is usually carried in the back of the neck, I got that part covered!..:)

Try a massage as well - I had one last week to work the tension out of my neck, shoulders and back and it really seemed to help.

Sounds like you could have trapped a nerve or strained a muscle. It's amazing what you can do to yourself without realising it and then pay in pain for days after. Which then only fuels the stress and anxiety. The more you concentrate on it, the more it will bug you and not go away. Try having a hot bath, rub some Deep Heat or Ralgex on it like E Man suggests and find a comfortable position to keep it in. I'm sure it'll go away as quickly as it came.

Definitely get a massage or rub some pain relief ointment. I use Icy Hot :)
