citalopram side effects

Has anyone experienced chest tightness while trying to fall asleep on celexa/ citalopram? Its preventing me from falling asleep, if I get up I dont feel like that. Just when trying to fall asleep.

Well thing is, I never experienced this feeling before the meds..But celexa can cause increased anxiety (how ironic). lol. I called my doctor and he told me to only take half a pill for a couple weeks and to also take it at night instead of morning..

Sure! Most SSRI's can increase anxiety, I'm not aware of any side effect causing tightening of the chest only when you lay down though.
