Has anyone had good results from any of these medications for generalized anxiety and panic?

I've actually been on all four.
Lexapro gave me the shakes, effexor made me throw up and zoloft made me crazy (literally- suicidal, paranoid, mania). I'm not on Paxil 20mg and LOVE it. I'm for both depression and panic disorder and it works great so far. I also take ativan as needed.
HOWEVER, everyone is different, especially body chemistry, so don't worry that if I had a bad reaction to the first three you will. I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who have had bad reactions to Paxil, just trust your doctor and have faith that you will find the right meds!

Hi masonmoore! I've taken all of the medications you listed. Both Lexapro and Paxil have been of great help to me in dealing with my generalized anxiety and social phobia. Paxil worked the best for me, but personally I couldn't handle the side effects. I am on Lexapro now and it's working fairly well for both anxiety and depression.
I agree with the above poster, everybody's body chemistry is different. Don't give up! I hope you find one that works well for you!

Everyone is different. Effexor has worked great for me, so has Paxil. Lexapro also gave me the shakes.
