I had my first scan and i'm 8 weeks pregnant today :)

My heart rate was 91bmp is this normal?

Awesome and many congratulations! We're expecting our fourth in April...Lord help me!

Normal heart rate is usually anywhere between 60-100bpm - it totally depends on the type of person you are. They say heart rate is slightly elevated during pregnancy - think of the extra work your body has to do when carrying a baby. If you're really concerned it's worth getting it checked by your midwife (or equivalent if you're not in the UK).

I wouldn't be too concerned - I know it's easy to say but try not to let your anxiety overshadow what is an amazing time for you. Good luck x

Mine was 142/98 at a Neurosurgeon just 2 days ago...that was high and I'm on BP meds. I was obviously nervous. 120/80 or anywhere near there is PERFECTION Debbie!!
