Hi,
I am new here and need some serious help.
I am a single mother, and have been through a lot. I have struggled with anxiety since 15 but it has got worse. I was controlling it for a while with no medication, and it was working for a while, but then i got depressed and got on lexapro. Well, the anxiety is back.. I have scary thoughts of outer space. I don't even like to think about space.. That we are on a ball lol. As dumb as it sounds, it freaks me out! thats what gives me panic attacks the most. And being in really busy places with lights everywhere.
i hate what I'm going through. My son makes me feel better. But please advice!!!
Am i going crazy :(

You're not crazy. Trust me, I had some fu$ked up thoughts
Question for you
When you are feeling calm and I know that may not be often, does the thought of space scare you or is it when you feel anxious, that is what you think of?

well if I'm just sitting around doing nothing.. thats when i think about outer space, and THAT is when it scares me :( and thats when my anxiety gets really bad. I wish I could just be normal. I love right after a really bad panic attack because it goes away and I feel better.. but then later i know it wil return.
I get blurry vision. I feel like I am in a dream. Im afraid of fainting in public. I get so scared

So pretty much… When I am in the car, or doing nothing, that is when I think about space the most. And it makes me sick.
I love being with family, my son, and being at home relaxing. I can't imagine working in a restaurant or something. I do childcare and it works for me.

So, you realize then that space is kinda cool and Luke Skywalker blazes around out there with no issues
You have time on your hands and the space thing pops in your head, then that scares you because you were fearing of thinking of it and now you are
And then you get anxious and feel panicky because what you've been fearing you would think of, has happened
When it happens next, don't try and fight the thoughts
Go with it and see where your mind takes you, regardless of where it goes
You'll find yourself just fine when you conclude, but you knew that
Your anxiety fears space, not you
How about you be the captain of the ship and demote anxiety to Private
You decide how this story plays out each time
Take it upon yourself to make a new ending

LOL. Nixon I gotta say that was funny. With all the imaginations we have during anxiety, that are all thoughts we normally have and do not pay attention to when not freaking out, we
have to be the most creative people on the planet. People pay good money at Disneyland to feel the way we do at times. Maybe we should see it as excitement instead of anxiety?
I mean after all the physiology of it is exactly the same, only difference is we run through a negative conditioned filter. Time to change that filter maybe? Peace

There's no need to worry about outer space. You'll never go there! From Earth's surface, it's about 70+ miles up (depending on where you are on Earth). It's very, very far away and only a rocket could get you there. Space is fascinating and I could see how it would be scary to someone, given how mysterious and complex it is. However, there's no need to worry about it. We're all stuck here on Earth! Only millionaires and scientists...and monkeys...get to go visit outer space. :)
