Hello I am new and currently a university student.

Last year at university I nearly fainted during a lecture causing me to run out of the room in front of everyone and that has triggered my anxiety.

But the nature of my problem has changed over time and now talking in front of my peers in classes makes me physical nervous to the point where I start sweating and feel physically faint.

It's really affecting my education as I do not participate and my attendance is generally poor due to these issues. I am a nervous wreck but people don't know why and think I am just lazy.

I need advise on what to do. Have tried CBT but i don't think it helped.

Looking forward to hearing opinions and hopefully meeting people who may feel the same.

Hi thanks for the reply.

I did CBT through my university GP and they organised a sort of 'condensed' version of around 4 weekly sessions to fit in my with the end of term.

When you ran away or tried to run away from you, this made rebound anxiety which is what you now have. Pretty normal reaction at first, but you won't be able to continue it unless

you want to of course. Learn to stay with it, see it through, and learn to meditate, listen to soothing music, stay off of google, and away from web md until you get yourself calmed. Do

what works for you, letting it pass while staying put will end this quickly, experience the unpleasant feelings, just let the emotions flow. Emotions are energy in motion lierally, they

want to leave, and you want them to. I suggest brainwave therapy too. Very well researched and literally aligns your mind. Go to Brainsync.com Try it, I did. CBT is great as well,

and meds may be an option. Get plenty of sleep, do whatever excited you, and run with your passion. Peace
