Gluten free means no wheat protein is allowed. Also includes oats, barley and rye.

Common foods that contain gluten:

Bread, pasta, spaghetti, sauces, flour, beer, ready meals, cereals, burgers, take away foods, soy sauce, and others, just look for wheat on the ingredients label :)

You can cut them out if you need/wanna be gluten free, but now most supermarkets or stores sell wheat free alternatives of the same products.

I eat gluten free, so.. Kinda my speciality lol

Nope, they're all good.

Gluten mainly only comes in starchy foods like your breads, thick sauces, pastas. (They do sneak it into other places too though)

How come you ask?

Eggs are a major acidic food. They promote acid production in your tummy which translates to ibs irritant. So does yogurt (which is crazy bc everyone says to eat it for healthy bowels) and some other foods like fruit.

Ah ok, makes sense.

A LOT - and I mean A LOT - of good dietitians recommend quitting dairy (milk) whilst having IBS problems.

Many recommend quitting gluten for a bit too, but ya know, then it gets kinda hard just cutting out two big food groups. :)

Try to buy milk alternative for one week (there are sooo many now in grocery stores)

See how you feel. Then go from there if it isn't helping.

I think you'll feel at least some positive change, dairy is real tough on a lot of people with stomach problems

yes , alternatives. plenty out there. although they are pricey for the most part. thats why people never change over. but there are a few that are no pricey. i stocked at a local grocery store and very few gluten free things moved.

It's still dairy ;)

Get rice milk or something, and it needs around a week to take effect
