I'm 16 years old and when i wad around 14 i began to blush a lot. Up till i was 14 i'd only blush when i was in class and a teacher asked me for an answer. But now if my mum or dad or nan, friends or teachers speak to me, i go bright red! Even if someone said hello to me i'd go bright red. When i go red my heart pounds fast, my hands sweat and i get a weird feeling in my stomach:( since i've been back in school (start of jan) everyday i've had butterflies in my belly and feeling weird because i have a lot of speaking assessments and interviews coming up! Can someone help?!:(

I think it's perfectly normal until one point. You blush mostly because you get stressed. Once you will control your stress, most probably you won't blush a lot. But blushing it's cool too.

Blushing is cool??;) haha
I hate the way people look at me like i have something wrong with me though..
And i really hate when i go red and people ask me why i am going red or they just shout out you're going red makes me panic a little cause the attention's on me:/

Hey,

I'm 19 and I can really understand what you are going through. It really sucks. Ever since I was about 17 I've had problems with blushing. My skin is quite fair and sensitive, and I blush very easily. Having anxiety as well as that doesn't help either. Whenever I feel myself getting anxious, my face sort of automatically begins to turn red and starts feeling very warm. It's the worst feeling in the world and I hate it so much because there's nowhere you can hide. Whenever a teacher at university speaks to me, I blush instantly. I also blush when I am talking to a group of people, or even if I'm talking one-on-one with another person I don't know very well. And yes, it feels like people are staring at you thinking you're weird because of it. It has been hell for me and it still is most days. I don't really have any tips on how to stop the blushing, but I just want you to know that I understand. You aren't alone in this. Other people don't realise just how awful it can be and how much it can affect you, especially when they start saying "you're blushing" or "you're so red". I find that wearing makeup sometimes helps (foundation) as it can hide the redness. Good luck.

Take care,

Kristy

It's nice to know someone else has this as well!:) i just feel like people look around my face when i blush and that makes me more nervous! I have recently bought make up like this green & yellow palette thingy and new foundation to try and help with blushing as someone on youtube had put a video on about it:) but i wont really know if it works cause i can't see myself and i always cover my face somehow so people can't see my face:p and when i do ask my friends if i'm going red they usually say no just to help me not go red anymore:/ so hopefully it will work! And one to one and group conversations are the worst! If feels like my cheeks are burning and they're not going to stop:( this sucks! Hope you're ok though! xx

Yes, you're definitely not the only one going through this! I know exactly what you mean about the feeling of everyone looking at you and then blushing more. It's horrible! That happened to me just the other day actually in class. I swear I can't even go into class without turning bright red from my anxiety! It's the worst. It felt like everyone was staring at me because I was blushing, and that only made me feel like a thousand times worse (and made me blush more). Thanks, I hope you're okay too xx
