When having a panic attack or anxiety attack were is your safe place?

As a kid at home it was in the woods across the ditch from my home, usually just under a big tree alone, until i got it back together.

In school it was in the alley between lunchroom and library, there were big water tanks to hide behind.

In college, it was my car...just go out there and sit or the closet in my room.

Today, its my truck or home, my home is my sanctuary, the outside world is not allowed to enter although sometimes it does.

In my childhood I never really had a 'safe' place. But once I grew up, learned how private a car is, I've always went to it to clear my head. You are completely by yourself, and can leave if need be.

My closet. Every time I have a bad panic attack I curl up on the floor. It's a walk in so it's not too bad. I love closed in spaces when I'm panicking.

In my bed with my boyfriend and my doggies. All of them comfort me with kisses. :) Then I can drift off into sleep.

With my boyfriend.... Playing with my lizards (i have 5 of them now)..... Anywhere my mom is (i have co dependent issues with her).... If i'm at school, my car becomes my safe place but I hate to drive... And lastly, At this special private park near where I live which is basically like a fairy garden in this old couple's front yard. They live out in the woods with a LOOOOONG driveway and the place is so magical. <3

I have no fear of any place anymore

Except Compton. Compton may be a little scary.

The closet in my apartment is my go-to safe place when I have panic attacks. I also view my boyfriend's room as a safe place in general. Especially hiding under his covers in his huge bed. I'm always hiding under the covers as a way of coping with my anxiety.
