Took my little one to a Brownies function (she had fun), then went and picked-up some things, felt a bit better being off the przac a couple days now and the clonazepam helped some with the paranoia I noticed while shopping. Now I picked her up, fixed her some lunch and now I'm prepping a few things for her Bday party tomorrow. She's going for a sleepover so I will be here alone for the remainder of the day, that always sucks so I think I will write my note to my GP on Monday over and over again obsessively trying to make it just right lol.

I went and picked up my oldest daughter and went to the busiest store in town...she even told her new bf that she couldn't believe that I was picking her up at 2pm to go there...it's packed with people!! But, I didn't shoot anyone and stood there for 15 mins to get some meds.. YAY!!! Glad that's over with though..I hate giant, brightly lit, packed with people, places......:)
Congrats Frankle!!!

Thanks bro! Yes, it was packed and people were not following giant store pharmacy protocol like I do. I KNOW my scrip is ready, and I KNOW what to sign, and when, and everything. They just walk up and start asking questions, is this that, is that this...yadda yadda!! .....I growl inside. LOL!!..:)

After my mom died I had terrible anxiety about hanging out with her family to the point of a few years ago faking sick every time they were having a get together. I've been a lot better but today we had lunch at my grandmas so I went and got to see my cousin's three year old triplets who are only in towns every once in a while. We made plans to do the same thing next sunday, which I'm really excited for already

So sorry for your loss,I lost my dad three years Ago so I know how hard it can be and how lost you feel without her around and not being there, like something's always missing, but your now making new memories and making your mum so proud of what a strong beautiful daughter she made :)
Probably yelling at windows 8 :) I am trying to walk a bit too. Twice a day. The day walk is harder than the night walk. I will fit them in. I keep thinking to go visit my sister in law. She lives across the street. I've been trying to all week but despite being lonely I just can't bring myself to be social. It's just such an effort. Maybe that is more to do with my depression than anxiety. Your pj day sounds like a perfect Sunday
Yes I know exactly what you're saying Frankie
Some days are harder to do things than others
I would not know where to start with computers I pass things like that on to my husband lol

Today I made my daughter laugh twice and my grandchild cry then laugh. She is 7 and still does not get when I am teasing her. I must be careful. Gave my car to my daughter for overnight, when hers is fixed. I do not share my car easily:))
Made 400 grams of not greasy hand lotion, with palmarosa and Pink grapefruit Essential oils, and a lot of other goodies.... Fed my family:)) I think it was a good day:)) no stress today...

I wish it was easy, in Canada to start selling lotions or creams is difficult. You need the insurance, the testing, you name it. Not easy for small businesses. I make all this for my amusement, it gives me distraction, so important in managing anxiety, and enormous satisfaction :) That's enough form me:)
Lord I am sorry you have hard time with dialysis, I would imagine, life is not treating you well. Thankfully you have your passion, and you are able to follow it:))

Our old cat was that cat! He would have breakfast at ours, then go down the street to a lady who left him out a bowl!

All that matters is that one has taken off! :)
Just a suggestion but you could rename it & put "Social Thread" somewhere in the title or something similar that takes your fancy... a more official title so that newbies know what it's about - other forums have them & that's how they are usually identified. You can do that in the advanced edit on the first post... if you so wish.

Thank you for you kind words Dahlia. My is much better than it been . I do Heamo Dialysis now which makes me feel quite well, I was on CAPD (another form of dialysis) that really didn't. My sleep is all over the place but I have plenty of things to do that I enjoy and we recently got a new kitten so I'm pretty well occupied most days . I live in England so I have a dialysis machine in the house supplied by the NHS, I think Canada also has proper state provided healthcare doesn't it?. All these little things I am grateful for cos I remember what it was like before. This is how I rinse out every last bit of positivity I can find by taking nothing for granted and looking for things to be grateful for rather than things to be sad about. I think boredom is a massive problem for people cos it is when you are bored you start to think and worry. So I have to thank you again as reminded me I have come a long way and I have a lot to be grateful for. Cheers. :)
So this weekend I put a hair colour on(dam those grey hairs lol) did my nails and had a chilled out weekend with my two baby's and husband, been feeling much better the last few days which is fab,I count each good day as a massive plus :) things will only get better I know it,yes I will

Well folks, I worked this weekend...Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Still only doing 4 hour shifts, but I got up each morning and drove myself there and I got through it. Besides that, I watched many movies this weekend.
The plan is to increase my hours to 6 hours starting on Wednesday. I'm sort of nervous about it, but I'm sure I can get through, it's only 2 extra hours.

Kris, you are doing magnificent. Well done. What movies did you watch? Ok so I'm nearly done with computer. I had some drama with transferring all my music. My iPod updated and every song gone on the iPod. I had somewhat of a conniption! Thankfully one of my teens was still up and click, tick, tick....2000 songs copying back on my iPod as I speak. Phew!! Tomorrow will be less stressful as I have got done what I needed with it. Thanks, Frankie.
I watched "identity thief", "I love you, man", "failure to launch".

I've seen I love you, man, yeah I quite like it. Didn't like failure to launch, not a fan of SJP.
I watched both of those with the GF. So I'll have to wait and see the last one until I'm dating again.
Melissa is funny. I wanna see her and Kevin James do a movie together as husband and wife, lol.

Lord in Canada you need to apply for the machine in house, it needs extra waste something, it is not easy. I have a few friends with the same problem. They all go to the hospital some like 3 times a week. Our health care would be better. What I know from my British friends you have a tad more flexible health care. Imagine 50 years ago it would be more complicated. We all should be grateful to have access to health care. Many people on this planet do not have it.

I watched 20 minutes of Death Comes to Pemberley & gave up. I detest the fact they turned Jane Austen into a murder mystery... I prefer the normal period dramas. Ones that I have enjoyed in the past are Daniel Deronda, North & South, Great Expectations... I always look forward to the period drama at Christmas & was thoroughly disappointed this year :(
I've watched half of The Musketeers. Seems quite good so far!
I've also been watching Hostages which is pretty good.

Ok so no bbc I player allowed here. Thank goodness for watchtvseries on the net! I'm soooo lazy today, I just watched the musketeers. It was good. Peter Capaldis eyebrows freak me out. I wonder how he will be as the new doctor. Anyways, I just discovered that Call the Midwife new series just began too. Got that online and now I'm all set for the sky planner next week ;) Chats, my daughter loved the hugely popular Lizzie Bennett Diaries online. It had a huge following. Hi
Jazz I'm glad you are doing ok and finding the positives wherever they may be found. You to Em. Good that you had a nice weekend.
I am nearly finished organising the new laptop. It's had me very confused but I'm winning now :)
I do have chronic neck pain but unfortunately that has swollen right up tonight and I'm struggling with it now. Hope after a sleep it will reduce in size and pain!
Got out for a walk tonight which was good. My daughter made a ....don't break the chain......walking plan sheet. Every day must be crossed and I have taken it on as a personal challenge and I really don't want to break the chain lol. I must X the day when I've gone outside and walked! It started on the 1st so it's going well.
If possible when the swelling has gone try massage and chiropractic for neck pain. Muscle knots and spinal miss alignment are most often the culprit

It's the first ready meal I've had since I came off my APs 7 months ago! Went to GP this morn, got another new med. Stressin' harder than ever. With all the failures I've had with meds over the last 2+ months I guess it's to be expected but I HATE being like this when I have my daughter counting on me. Taking her to a Brownies swimming event tonight after school.
Uncertainty about if and when I'll see a new psych (don't see my GP for a couple weeks) and taking a new med similar to Seroquel (that I had a bad experience with) on a night I have my daughter here. I hope this little pill is going to give me the much needed rest and relief I desperately need. Despite taking .5mg clonazepam this morning I still feel like complete **** and keep thinking about ending my life. It sucks.
Hope nobody's day is anything like mine.

Started a new drawing...haven't even finsihed my last one...in terms of colouring. but seeing as the local art gallery want 3 of my big drawings for their exhibition in a couple of weeks I figured i'd just get back into drawing as everyone I've shown my drawings to appreciate them.
I've been vowing for a long long time to draw something about recent years. I've had about a 4 year hiatus from drawing and it came about when anxiety struck. But now I want to dedicate a piece, or several pieces to the darker topics as most of my drawings have been surreal and light hearted. Attatching one of the pics i'm selling as an example of my work.

01-20-2014, 08:37 PM
Thanks Jazz,
Yeah I am massaging away at it. It's not that great today after all :( the pain has gone down my arm as well today. I went to a chiro once and it was terrifying. I thought he broke my bleedin neck! Lol. It made me feel so sick after I vomited. It's unlikely I can revisit that experience again. My right shoulder sits higher than the left and I have a curve in my spine so I'm definately a bit wonky! :( I saw two different physiotherapists for quite a while but they couldn't fix it and terminated my treatment.
I'm at a loss really. It's the major cause of me studying at a rate that feels almost in reverse. I will get my degree and my pension the same year I reckon hehe....
I have come to terms with that now at least. I will finish it when I finish it. Would love to not have the pain though. :(
So long as the saw points are saw keep at the massage if they fell spongy and bruised leave it for a day or two. try cold packs on your neck when the pain is bad I wouldn't use ice though. As far as chiropractic goes I think that would probably be enough to put anyone off. Did the chiropractor you saw crack your neck violently? cause the one I see just turns mine to either side a little bit further than I can turn it myself its nowhere near that dramatic.
Good

OMG...
I had to cancel my MRI this morning. Blowing snow, 30mph sustained winds, 17 mile drive,..temp at 18.....and I'm not going off into a ditch like my daughter did the other night because I'd be stuck there freezing my arse off!!!...It's kinda crazy out there right now...I think I'll just stay riiiggghhhhtttt here.
How is it in Ireland???? Gotta be better than this!!! :)

That blows E-man.
I can't speak for Ireland but over here it isn't bad. Overcast & 45ºF. It's been a fairly mild winter thus far.
I remember about 3 years ago we had 5ºF during the day... brrr. According to my Parent's, when they first came to Scotland in 1970s, it wasn't uncommon to get -4ºF overnight.
I just picked up some Vitamin D. I get 5µg from my Multi but I figured some extra might be a good idea. Will be taking 25µg (1000IU) now. I know that doesn't seem much but it's still 5000% of the RDA. I know that the RDAs are thought to be way under in some circumstances, but 5000UI like a lot of people seem to take seems a helluva lot.

Hi Jazz
How are you doing today?
Regards to the chiro, yes it was definately the violent neck crack. It was suddenly yanked and was so loud it shocked me really badly. I feel sick about it when I think of it and it was done about 10 years ago!
I'm fine cheers how are you?
If you were to decide to try chiropractic again then tell the chiropractor your story and ask him/her how they do it. My chiropractor is a nice fella and very easy to talk to but when it comes to doing my neck he trys to do it quick because I tend to tense up just before and what usually happen is, he tries to take me by surprise I say "hang on a minute" make an adjustment to my positioning and then its not a problem. The most important thing is that you find someone who can put you at ease and is happy to answer your questions :)

I wish they'd just fix the RDA already, I used to take 10,000ui-15,000ui when I worked nights, it was so annoying having to take 15 tabs. Luckily the Holland and Barrett ones are really really small. I take around 4000ui a day now, not too bad taking 4 tiny tabs, I can do it all in one go.
I looked for Roobios in sainsburys yesterday, they didn't have any. That sucks cos I have a tea craving today. I'm gonna try big Tesco later, if none in there, I know my health shop will have some, it's just right next to the big Westfield, it's always crazy busy there.

Hmm. Thanks to the Penny Sale, I have 498 400IU tablets... so plenty should I wish to up the dose :D
Keep searching for that Rooibos! You won't regret it.
I remember I got lost in the Westfield Shopping Centre when I was there... I spent 2 hours there & I'm not sure I found every store ;) Do you stay near Shepherd's Bush? I stayed in a Hostel there a few years ago to see Sublime with Rome @ O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire.

2 new ventures for me. Of course I have one listed in another thread also. I received the welder I purchased yesterday. Got some 6/3 cable, and a few plugs, and a
50 amp breaker. Went to get some plate steel to weld my welding bench up, and am on my way to creative ornamental ironworking shop. I've worked with steel for
many years aside from a time when I was in LE. I have also made the decision to share you tube channel here on resource thread. This channel was developed
mainly for me like a journal of my emotional and spiritual growth as I move forward. It has led to counseling some folks, and is something I really am passionate
about. So I'm off, ready for the challenge and thanks to all of you who have been side by side with me as I expressed myself here, and mostly for your stories that
have inspired me greatly. Thank you all Peace

Eman stop talking about the cold, I have to go to work and we have -20 C which is -4 F. I do not want to talk about the wind, the cold system probably is going as far as Florida. Anybody has any doubts about climate change, and global warming?:(

^ You're right Dahila, the cold system is reaching Florida... Suppose to be 27F (-3C) tonight and the next few nights.. but judging from the temps you're experiencing.. I shouldn't be complaining :)
Climates changing, global warming happening--the weather is getting stranger and more extreme every year.

I woke up at 4 am to go to work. Today I was SUPER exhausted because I had spent the night waking up every hour to check the time (I hate this) and suffering from nightmares (I hate this too; it's funny, but my fiancé was having nightmares too, it sounds like. Maybe we should stop watching "Dexter"). I worked for five hours and then went home to a bath followed by a nap. My kitten and I curled up together on the couch asleep for two hours, which is rare for him to do <3. I then woke up to start looking for jobs online and do a load of laundry! Later I am going for a jog around my neighborhood; we're training to hike half-dome in the summer :).

Got to love a onesie, they have so
Many out there, the best ones tho I think are the ones with no feet in as the ones with the feet in you can't sleep in I don't think as they are way to uncomfortable if you wanna stretch your legs out lol

I got my 18 daughter a tigger one for Xmas. She is working so hard for her final year at school and the onesie and her huge moustache mug filled with pg tips is now her ultimate Sunday when the textbooks go away. No feet in it either Em but she says they are to warm still to sleep in. So your husband is (not) surprisingly keen on them eh? They do look like giant passion killers for sure lol! If the meds don't do it the onesie will haha ;)

I will be calling the woman I met a couple of weekends ago through a Hi-End Match making service, to see if she would like to get together again. Story was last week she was out of town and busy this last weekend. Gonna see if she was just being polite and trying not hurt my feelings or if she was serious about seeing me again. Getting myself prepared, I'm a big boy I can handle rejection. Only fear is if I'm rejected again I hope to stay away from that bad low place I sometimes go.

Just back from CBT session 2. It went ok. We mostly talked about my young fella. He's having a bad time right now. It was helpful to me today. Tried again this morning to do my night walk in the day and I started to panic. I'd say a half measured panic attack and I headed straight for home, but by the time I was nearly at the door I calmed myself enough to push myself for a lap of what I would call stage 1 safety zone. I'm glad I remained outside even if I returned to very close to home. Before I would have ran straight in the door. Are you having a good day today?
Well that's a massive step forwards Frankie you should be really happy that you did that
You pushed yourself to face your fear and that's amazing
Yes I'm have a good day thanks :) thinking what should I have for dinner

Good luck. Hope it goes well. Don't be too concerned about a label of "high end". We are all just people right? I'm not sure what makes a person ...high end over another. Those of us with anxiety don't like to be judged so I wouldn't buy too much into such labels.
I hope she is lovely. It must be difficult to pursue relationships when we struggle with anxiety and depression. Either way, not everyone can be right for each other so if it's a rejection then it just means you're not compatible and you can move on to someone who is. That's cool isn't it? I'm a little envious as I'm not able to consider finding a relationship whether casual or serious right now. Hopefully sometime soon though. Got to get my head right first :)
To clarify, I used the term hi-end because this is more than an online dating service, matches are made on a case by case method by individuals not computer matching. That and it cost me an arm and leg LOL. I took this step because I am just no good at approaching women, and the few times I have dated on my on have been complete disasters, I've been used more than once, also I took myself out of the dating game over 11 years ago and was never good at it then, stupid nerves and anxiety basically have made me a prisoner of loneliness, trying to break out of this cell. Good luck to you, everyday is struggle, I know.

21 probes stuck to my head, laying there for 40 minutes.
Then off to the MRI...
That s**t is still kinda freaky to lay in one of those tubes, banging noises, clanging, humming, vibrating..and he said 20 mins.
Apparently, I move a lil bit and it took longer!!
Just gald that's now in the past...YAY!!

It isn't over with yet,,another MRI on Friday at 7 am (OMG)...but it is for the entire spine to see why my legs are being squeezed like I'm a Mummy Man. My calf muscles will not let go and the tendonitis in my shins is getting realllll old.
If you ever have to have an MRI. Ask for valium and do NOT open your eyes in that stupid tube as they're sliding you inside....just keep them closed to whole time.

Thank you JJJJJH333!! That should go pretty well I hope...
On another note: Just got a call from my Doctors office to talk about my youngest daughter and her urine drug test. The phone staff said that it came back "inconclusive" and that she had (benzos) in her system. I said "Yeah, xanax is a benzo"...she said "no I don't think it is hold on"....Then got back on the phone and said yes, it is but still bring her out tomorrow for another drug screen anyway!! LMAO!!..My youngest lion cub isn't happy and thinks that they're acting like idiots.
I "think" that my Doc is just being overly cautious and protective now because she also met my oldest daughter and also knew that she was an addict...and also knows that they were running around and spending time together lately...I like the way that she's thinking, best to be safe than sorry...but if it comes back dirty, then she will have to drop her!!! NOOO!!! It's a double edged sword. On my end, and her end too...eeessshhh.....
Oh well, I'll just get a shot while I'm there then too!...YAY!!...

Hi Frankie oh I will survive lol
How are you today?
I'm fine. Got both kids home now today as they are developing colds too now. Exams in a week so they don't want to go in and share it with their friends.........plus they don't want to go in...lol. Bringing the young man to the doc to get referral for adolescent mental health services shortly. I've stocked up on operation flu medication for them and just made a pot of fresh chicken soup. So dinner is done and out the way. Hoping to watch a film this evening. What movies did you have planned?
I want to watch the host I recorded it but I've not had the chance to watch it yet nor have i had time to watch the three
Musketeers,yes we have loads
Of cold and flu things in
Oh soup sounds lovely,I could do with a lamb or beef stew dumplings and crusty bread lol
it doesn't get more comforting than a stew for sure.
And the passion killer onesie lol
Hehehe....poor hubby! :)
No don't feel sorry for him lol
Back from the doctors. I changed the GP I took my son to today and he found her to be understanding and helpful. Thank goodness because the last one set him right off. We will get our psych referral for my young fella. Hope to get him back on track.
Oh thats good news Frankie :) does he have anxiety to?
Absolutely. He is nauseous every morning before school and has been for years. Night time he is angry and has heart palps, dizziness, nausea, headaches and now insomnia. He has great mates though and that is a blessing. I don't know how he'd be without them.
Aww bless him the poor thing.thats so good that he's got good friends tho as that's a big help for him
