Cardiac even monitor

Hi everyone

I have been given a cardiac event monitor for 1 week and I have to press the record everytime I feel a palpitation. My question is sometimes a palpation will only lAst a second and then go away so by the time I have pressed the button I have missed it. Does the monitor still pick this up

I never saw one like that. The one's I have seen were continuously monitoring/recording.

Did your doc say you would have to press it?

Maybe once you press it, it records the previous certain seconds.

He he said press it when I get the symptoms x

I think he wants to see what is happening after the palpitation happens. The heart rate and some other stuff to see what your heart is doing during the time the palpitation occurred to see if there is an underlying problem. But most likely there is no problem
