Hi everyone I wanted to introduce myself. I've been looking on the site for a month now. I have found you all totally refreshing and a great support. On my high anxiety times I always come on and read threads that always seem to help me.
Last summer I was full of life and a total fitness chick. I love weight lifting and was about to compete for miss bikini but that seems a whole different life now.
In December I had a huge panic attack and since then my anxiety is running along in my life like a bad smell. I've suffered with it before and it was health based but now it seems to be everything. One fear is that I'm going to loose the plot. Being a single mum to two beautiful girls just increases that. Scared of losing my babies.
I started uni studying child and adolescent mental health due to previous experience with anxiety but right now I'm
Thinking of pulling out.
That's me so far. Hope everyone is fighting on xx

Great to have a new member!!..
First panic attack ever in December?...and the trigger???...

Yeah I hope I will too. I loved it. Made me feel great. Just finding it hard to push self back there.
I had my first in about age 18. I was unsure of but I was watching a horror at the time. Then it spiralled. I got back to grips. The. It kicked back in after my first daughter seven years ago. Slight postnatal depression with it too. That's when I started to take citalophram. 20 mg.
last summer I was missing lots of tablets. Used one box of about 21 over two to three months. Simply because i felt good and it slipped my mind, So they worked out my system. Went to doc he said build them back up again. So started daily again. Then he swapped me to stertraline. On the eighth day I had the horrid attack. Felt like I needed to escape from my body. Scared the living day lights out of me. Doc took me off those now bck on citalophram and diazepam
2mg.
Sorry long winded :-/ x

do you find being on meds work? i am new to anxiety attacks.. i have them when you'd least expect it. nothing triggers mine per say.. they happen randomly in the middle of normal conversations with people. its so strange... first time i had an attack i actually thought i was dying, ive always been a worrier but never to the point of attacks and now they are non stop. i just started cipralex about 5 weeks ago and i am still not feeling anxiety free i need some hope and some advice if anyone has any!

When I first had them Lexii I was so worried about meds but fit me they helped massively. It is a personal choice but it really worked for me. It was a positive. At the moment I'm trying not to fight the feelings I get when I have them. I almost let it wash over my body. Feel all the sensations. I find it makes it move on quicker xx

Just reading through this thread, I like your style Cara. I think you're gonna be making some good progress fairly soon, you have a good way of coping with things from what I can tell. Letting it wash over you and becoming comfortable with that, is one of the best ways to reduce panic symptoms. Afterall, kinda hard to panic over something you aren't scared of, right!
Now your talking..http://i48.tinypic.com/rtzynp.jpg
This post made me LOL. Caught me off guard.

Hi Jesse.
It's a nabba competition. Look it up. It's body building but not extreme where women look like men. It's just nice. :).

Yes, I know exactly what she's talking about...it's a "Figure, shape, and form" competition not..."OMG, is that scary" competition....It's way more "classical" than the roid using behemoths....Beauty is the plot, not I wanna rip you apart...YAY!!!...
Glad to see you made it here Jesse!!! We've been waiting!!! :)

I was a weight banger..5 solid years. Loved it! Addicting..no feeling like having 500 pounds on your back or pulling 500 pounds off of the floor.....no way to recreate that feeling that I have found.
Dieting was 80% of the battle though, I will day that. Lifting was easy compared to eating correctly... :)

SpiderPig is a ceiling pig and would have a poor view of ankles..he would however have a great view of other body parts..

Yes, the view would not be optimal while walking on a ceiling...

Mist your comments have been hilarious in this thread xD
Spider pig gif. I just feel 'complete' now.
Now if only there was a way to combine SpiderPig and Business Cat into one single graphics interchange format image, the world would be complete also.
Alas i fear that such a task is too much for mere mortals to attain.
We need SPIDERMAN!
