Meds!!!

So I'm starting 10mg of Prozac today, hoping it helps my anxiety/depression. Any comments or symptoms I should know about???

Best to avoid reading the leaflet about side effects or you'll spend all day worrying about it. I'm on an SSRI. For me, it feels like i'm wired somewhat. Similar to ecstacy but a lot subtler. Sense of touch is more focused and sensual, bit of gurning and jaw clenching and some occasionally some trouble getting to sleep.

But remember, everyone is unique. I think drowsiness and a bit of a squiffy tummy is usually the most common side effects. But they all pass after a week or 2.

Yep, I second Eds comment, don't look at the leaflet lol.

It's an easy med to take usually, hence it's popularity. If anxiety peaks a little, try ride it out. Good luck with it :)

I went to a local pharmacist instead of Target where I usually go and they didn't give me the usual pamphlet. I thought it was odd, but I was happy.
I do have a question, will it be ok to drink? I drink a few nights a week and the last meds I tried said on the bottle not to.

All meds say don't drink but, everyone usually does anyway...If it was a narcotic, different story. You'll live friend..

I drunk a lot on Prozac and Celexa. Only beers and stuff, as spirit hangovers were worse. Every drink counts double apparently, so keep that in mind. Go easy at first!

Best not to drink, but this is the real world ;) give it a few weeks to settle before you drink again though.

If it was Vicodin, Norco, Oxycontin, Tramadol, Xanax, Klonopin, Soma, or Flexeril then have someone else drive,...fa sho..You'll live to have another drink at another time Penny...:cool:
