I have no appetite feeling so low as I have been. I'm now looking to stop mopping around do I have no appetite because I spend a lot of time in bed or is it an actual symptom of depression.

So shall I make myself eat like 3 meals a day or is that not a good ideA? I'm generally a health eater anyway shall I just make myself eat more of it? Will this help me??

Cheers

Yes Mike, a common symptom of depression.
Did the Doc get you started on any AD's?
Usually, they will give you an appetite and pick up some weight too in the process.
It's going to be hard to force feed yourself, when you're not actually hungry so I hope you got some meds to get you going.

Best wishes bruh!

E-man.

Mine too!! I don't know why! I've lost so much weight! Everyone keeps saying that typically Zoloft makes you put on weight...and with my first time around, it did....but now, I can barely seem to eat in the morning and lunch. I usually seem to be hungry around dinnertime though. Then I take my medicine at night and the next morning the whole thing starts over again.
I've gone from 140 lbs to about 126lbs.

Just gotta try and get food down ya man, s'what I've been doing. I've finally got something to help with the nausea I had which is already starting to make me feel better and bring back an appetite. I can never face up to big meals, my stomach has shrinker considerably already.. so don't do that, just try and eat little and often, this is the best thing to do I think, always get something for your stomach to digest, just try and mix it up between fruit, veg, proteins, nuts.

I've had a poor appeite for over 3 months. I force myself to eat breakfast, have small
Lunch and by the evening I am better. I feel sick a lot too . I'm not on meds, but apparently depression causes this.

Really? I never really thought that perhaps I was depressed. I always feel more anxious then anything.....but this is exactly how I am.....no appetite in the morning and lunchtime. ....then im hungry for dinner. I take Zoloft in the evening before bed, so im wondering if maybe the side effects hit me the worst come breakfast time?

I'm not on meds, but like you my appetite is worse in the morning. Infact, mines isn't even good at lunch either. I'm someone that was a massive eater previously.

Anxiety and depression walk hand in hand and both can affect appetite.

Just eat a small breakfast and maybe soup and bread at lunch - something easy. That's what I do. Take vitamins too
