Does any1 now if you can break a 10mg tablet in half so its a 5mg? As i'm currently on 10mg twice a day bt want to reduce the dosage even more now

Because i weaned down from 80mg to 20mg and stopped then cuz didnt feel i could go any lower at the time bt feel like i can now come off them

For anxiety but they did stop the chest pains

When i was on the 80mg it didnt stop my chest pain eitha bt wen i lowered my dose the chest pains went and i just didnt pay as much attention to the pain

Great answer about consulting the doc.
Some pills are time release (for instance capsules) some have odd configurations (Augmentin for instance, it's Amoxicillin and Potassium Clavulanate, the different dosages of 250, 500, and 875 mg of Amoxicillin each have 125 mg of Potassium Clavulanate, so two 250 mg pills does not give the same as one 500 mg pill, it would have twice as much Potassium Clavulanate.) some are Enteric Coated so as not to breakdown in the stomach.
It's not always straight forward. Best to consult the doc to be sure.
