Hello,

New to anxiety. It's now been 3 months that include 2 emergency room visits, 2 chest X-rays, 5 ekg's, a stress test and blood work. All of which, thankfully have come back with positive answers.

But it's the Chest discomfort, specifically on my left side that has me on edge all the time and worried. Though I do experience heart palpitations as well. The chest discomfort comes and goes in different areas, but for the most part it is only on my left side. Left back muscles and my left rib area under my armada well. I don't understand why I've had this everyday after my first panic attack on 9/11/2013. I've changed my diet. Lost some pounds and have taken it easy, but this pain isn't going away.

I guess I just want to know if someone has a similar experience with anxiety and maybe some techniques that may help.

Thanks.

It's about 3 inches below my left clavicle. Sometimes it'll be dead center in my chest.

It's not constant all day. It'll come and go. And last anywhere from 5min to 15min. And I'll get those through out the entire day. Come and go.

It's hard because doctors tell me it's anxiety, just try and relax. But in my head I'm thinking, "it's right over my heart?!" How can I just relax.

Have you had heart test?

That's what they said the stress test was for. They attached all the wires on me like they would with an EKG and then put me on a treadmill at different speeds while monitoring my heart rate and blood pressure at the same time. I passed. So they ruled out coronary disease and angina.
