Hello everyone!

I am a newbee. Thanks for the open invitation. Looking forward to the conversations.

A little about myself. I am a recovered anxiety and depression sufferer. Eight years ago, my health crashed and changed my life forever. The anxiety and depression I suffered in the years following were severe. I felt that who I was had disappeared forever and left me person-less and alone. But I made it through and found myself again. Life during anxiety, depression, and other health problems is possible, and life is possible beyond these conditions. My hopes are with all of you.

Hi Guys -

I am genuinely happy for you as too for markena's encouragement towards being positive. Hi Marlena, I hope you find whatever comes your way, is much of what you seek. I myself like to hum with a low frequency set to being grounded and withdraw when sensing "too much" directed energy. I need a lot of tuning in order to better absorb, however in saying that, I think the time spent and life's quest plays a large factor too ... It's my belief that life is an endless lesson. I talk too much, and need to practice listing. Something I could never explain in Two or Three lines. Take care -

wishing you both well.

How did you get better? Was it medication, therapy, a combo of different things? ....that is if you don't mind my asking.

FedUp, No I don't mind. :) But it is a long story. The short answer is that I learned how to solve problems that appeared to be impossible to solve. The medical piece of this is multi-faceted. One facet is that I had a chronic calcium deficiency caused by a known autoimmune thyroid condition that was causing massive amounts of calcitonin hormone to be released into my bloodstream. The thyroid is only supposed to release calcitonin when there is too much calcium in the blood. So my blood calcium level was going below the safe minimum and causing me all sorts of problems, including anxiety. The crazy thing is that it was always showing in my blood tests, but none of my doctors bothered to do the calculation necessary to correct my calcium level based on my blood protein (Albumin). Sorry for all of the technical language. LOL Even after that was corrected, I had a lot of behavioral problems I needed to correct.

The key to all of this was my epiphany on what I needed to do to solve all of the problems in my life. You can read my blog on that, if you are interested. The address is below this message in my signature. Now I teach my problem solving methods to try to help other people help themselves.

Hello! I'm new as well, and i also suffer from anxiety and depression- would be nice to have a chat if you're up for it?
I'm not finding my prozac to be helpful with the anxiety, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for other meds, or just general tips? :)
