I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia, which means my body does not absorb b12. My doctor has said that it could be a major cause of my depression. I am wondering if any of you have received b12 shots or have taken b12 supplements and what your experience has been. Ever since I started doing b12 shots once a week, I have felt much more energy and less feelings of hopelessness. Have any of you had b12 levels checked to see if that could be a factor in your depression? I would recommend asking your doctor about, especially if you lack energy or sleep a lot.

Hi Neena:
In the past 30 years I have received 1-2 shots of vitamin B12 (1000 mcg) per month, because
my absorption from oral supplements is low, and only shots work for me. However, B12 never
could eliminate my depression, it only gave me much needed extra energy. What changed my
life was vitamin D3, which I would like to call it the Rolce Royce of vitamins. You can read the below link,
which is my cure story and thread at this forum. It will be quite interesting to you--I promise.

Hi Neena,
What Mr. Ali said above is correct.
I have been also deficient with B12 and Vitamin D3 since 2007. I wondered how vitamins are influence on our health. Because of B12 deficiency I got blood clots at my right knee which caused for Pulmenory embolism later. At that time my B12 level is just 66. Then I been on anti-coagulants for 4 months to dissolve the blood clots in my leg and in my lungs as well. After 4 months by gods grace all clots been dissolved at the same time i took B12 oral supplimentation as advised by hemotologyst to get the B12 to safe level.
In 2009 I diagnosided with severe Vitamin D defieciency (my number was only <13nmol/l) but no doctor taken care on that. I have been suffered with anxiety, heart palpitations, Inconsistent BP (always in high), balance issues, ringing in my head, extreme weakness.
Because of these I have been rushed 3 ER visits, cardiologist, neurologist, CT scans, brain MRI, heart function tests. After so much of investigations the doctors find nothing.
Finally I did some investigation in web and realised my symptoms because of Vitamin D deficiency and started D3 supplementation (60000 IU/week) for 12 weeks. Now my vitamin D is 228 nmol/l and my previous symptoms starting vanished. I am not 100% cured but I am sure I will bounce back for my normal living. Thanks for Mr. Ali for your posts and valuable suggestions.
Best wishes.

Vitamin d3 can definitely cure some of anxiety symptoms. I got benefits with it. It can cure balance issues, elevated BP and heart rate.

There's so much to take in when learning about anxiety... I'm feeling overwhelmed and comforted at the same time. Lol

Hi dch:
Magnesium blood test is just WORTHLESS. It only shows the level
of magnesium in your blood. 99% of magnesium is in other places of
your body, and only 1% is in your blood.
Best wishes,
Ali
