Hello, I am a 34 year old mother of two from the UK. I first suffered from anxiety/depression at age 21, but did 'recover' within a few months. I was struck down again at age 30 and have had some good times in between but I have started again and am really struggling presently. I just find it helpful to speak to others who can relate so hope to chat to you soon x

Wow - I am also a 34 year old mother of 2 from the UK. I have had anxiety on and off all my life but its getting worse and worse and feels really bad at the moment. Its good to talk to others who feel the same - impossible to understand how it feels if you havent experienced it. Hope you're doing OK!

Well, I'm not a 34 year old mother of 2. I am however, a 62 year old American originally from Newfoundland and I too have experienced anxiety off and on over the past years. The good news is that I go through relatively long periods without experiencing it at all. Mine invariably happens when I'm alone, but can happen anytime. I have worked hard to try and reason my way out of anxiety, trying to find some formula that could break the 'funk' as it were. I have a sister that also has the problem and she is on Paxil. Whereas I have no issue with drugs, I have resisted going to a professional to pursue this.

My daughter is, however 34 with two children. When she had her second child, she had some bad episodes. She would call me at 2 in the morning and we would talk. She could talk to her husband, but it's hard to discuss this with someone who has no idea what you are talking about.

Hang in there.... You are not alone
