Inpatient hospitalization

Anyone ever checked themselves into a hospital because of anxiety/depression?

What was your experience like? Did it help? How long did you stay?

I ended up being put in the psych ward. My stays have varied from a few days to a few weeks. I was put in for suicidal thoughts and attempts. I also had to stay due to having ect treatment.

I found the stays helpful and got myself back on track. They won't admit you to hospital unless you are a danger to yourself or others where I live. (In Australia)
