Heart flutters out of control!! Period?

Have had an issue with heart flutters for 2 months now, but the last 3 nights they have been HORRIBLE! Constant...like every other beat almost. I know I'm getting ready to start my period, could this be linked. I'm getting a little scared...I just had a battery of tests done and it came back that I have mild Mitral Valve Prolapse, which I already knew. Of course the doctors say it's nothing to worry about, but they are not feeling what I'm feeling.

I'm a male and don't know much about periods, but my sister in law says that her anxiety tends to get worse when it's her time of the month. It's probably connected some how. Don't worry about it. They'll pass.
