Hi guys and girls

I am going to be starting my meds today well tonight and I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding this

I want to try take it an hour before bed incase I get any side effects I may have slept most of them off or is this a bad idea?

Thanks in advance

Hello I am on there on this exact dose. At first the side effects where awful I felt like I was coming down with something like the flu. But over time they when it took me about 3-4 weeks to feel ok again. They made me feel better hope there ok for you

I take Sertraline. It affects people different ways. I used to take it in the morning, but now at night. I think you have to just find what works for you. Jaime Brown is right about it making you feel not so great for a couple weeks or so. I have found it to be helpful for me.

I really don't know what to do my anxiety is getting so bad I can't go out for long periods of time so I know I need to take something

I am a good sleeper at night so was hoping it wouldn't effect me but on the other hand if I take it in the morning and feel sleepy and sick I won't move an my daughter needs to get to school

I would try taking it in the evening and see how it goes. You can always change the time you take it if you need to.

Can you just change the time rapidly or change it each day by a couple of hours?

Sorry to keep pestering

For me it all depends on what time of day you take them to how they will treat you

What time do you take them now?

Don't change the time of day drastically at once. You will want to transition over a couple days. I take mine around 8PM

Not so much now. That is a problem I've struggled with. But I think that was anxiety not the meds.

Final thought is that it took 3 days before I felt anything. So be aware tonight and tomorrow might feel normal.

To be honest iv been taking them when ever and where ever there all over the place. I find at night is the best time to take them though

I have been on sertraline for 18 years. 50mgs in the morning and 50mgs before I go to bed, or a little earlier. I didn't experience any especially memorable side effects going on them. I don't have any real issues related to health anxiety, though, so perhaps I just wasn't primed to notice. My advice is to give it several weeks, however. So, give yourself about 4 weeks. Good luck!!

Well I chickend out of takin them I have decided to ask for the propranolol instead because I only have a panic attack if I am feeling the physical symptoms first and I don't really want to struggle for weeks to feel better when I have my daughter and partner works full time

Dear worried,

I would take both. Propranolol works on the physical symptoms. It's a performance anxiety drug. I have used it in the past to take the GREs, job interviews, that type of thing. It lasts for about three hours. They are two different kinds of drugs. The sertraline works by upping the serotonin levels in the brain. It might start to work right away for you. Frankly, it did for me. I felt better within a week.

When I took it, it worked for me too....and I only was prescribed a tiny amount.

If I am not in pain or breathless I don't take the attack because I am not thinking anything is wrong

It's when I think something is wrong I worry then have an attack so I was thinking the propanalol may work wonders
