Worried :(

Ok so i went hospital yesterday with abdominal pain they did a scan and chest x-ray which was both clear however my blood results came back that my white blood count was elevated it was 15.9 i have had a slight cold and doctor said the nodes in my neck was slightly swollen and gave me amoxicillin.

Should i be worried?

Nope. Your body Is trying to simply fight off a cold, that's all.

I have same thing going on with a swollen neck gland and a cold. I had bronchitis a month ago and then got rid of that then picked up a cold my husband had gotten. I noticed a swollen gland in my neck with it and freaked out. I've been a mess lately with all the illness around my family lol.

I cant see the swollen gland the doc just said it was slightly swole and my white blood count was elevated and i just freaked out :(

If it was cancer of the blood your white cell count would be through the roof, not "elevated" which is what happens when you are sick with a cold or flu or some other virus.
