I did years ago when I first started having panic attacks. The doctor put me on imipramine and propranolol. Honesty it was so long ago I don't remember how helpful it was. The best result I had for a number of years was Prozac with xanax when needed.

Hi I've been on propananol for about 12 weeks now and I truly feel they help me. They seem to take away the physical symptoms of anxiety. It took a few weeks for them to get in my system, but once they did my panic attacks have greatly lessened

I do sometimes especially if I'm stressed, I'm allowed to play around with my dose as well I can take anything from 10 mg to 80 mg. If you don't feel they are helping go back to your doctor, there might be something else they can do for you. I've just started having cbt which I'm hoping is going to help me :-)

Wow that's a lot. Does it slow your heart rate down really low? Do you ever have heart Palpitations when standing up real fast or sitting down real fast?

I started on 10mg 3x a day then went to 20mg 3x a day and now I have moved it up to 30mg 3x a day because the symptoms were still getting through

It works very well for panic attacks. 20MG is usually enough. It takes an hour to kick.

Yep I'm on it and have been for a couple of months. My blood pressure is normally very low but doctor was happy to put me on it. I do get pain in my chest but not sure if its due to this. Was meant to be taking it twice a day but I forget so normally leave the packet at work and take one then. I'm on 40mg.
