Hi guys! I just wanted to say hello to all my fellow anxiety-sufferers. I'm 23 and clinically undiagnosed but I am fairly certain that GAD is exactly what I have. I've had this since high school, though I didn't really think of it as anxiety back then. I just thought I was a weirdo for checking if my car door was locked 5 times and then panicking all day long because I thought I couldn't remember if I locked it or not. Nowadays, my daily anxiety varies from frivolous worries that flit to and fro for a month or two, to full blown heart-pounding anxiety that makes my stomach hurt and keeps me up half the night for weeks on end. I'm looking for a place to vent/somewhere to share my absolutely ridiculous fears and commiserate with others who suffer from the same. Hopefully this will be a place for some bit of solace anyway. :)

Hello RunnerChick !
AF's a great place to vent and share those pesky anxiety fears and chat with others who experience it as well...With anxiety, we're all miserable to one degree or another, so no shortage of stories and plenty of being able to relate and understand here.. Welcome to the club..hopefully you'll find that solace :)

It's not the hardest condition in the world to diagnose yourself with, is it... :)
Anyway, hey! Vent away. Writing is always a good therapy. Even more so when people are listening, and sharing something in common.
Do you still do the whole running thing with your anxiety disorder in full swing?

Hey runnerchick I think most can relate to what you write there :)
Running is one of my favourite hobbies and also works wonders with anxiety!

Thanks so much for the welcome, everyone!!!Nice to meet some people going through the same thing as I am! I definitely keep up with my running as much as I can so I can deal with my anxiety better. Sometimes it can be hard to motivate myself to get off the couch and head out for a run, but I really force myself sometimes. It helps me a lot, but at times me thinking about running and how much I don't feel like running just adds to the anxiety thing! UGH! Vicious cycle. Anyway, it's nice to meet all of you and I look forward to commiserating soon! :)
