Hey all. just joined this site today to see what its all about and figuered it wouldnt hurt to have some people in my life with the same issues. ive had anxiety since i was about 5. was very mild then and now im 29 its at its worst. i find the older i get the better i cope but the worse i feel and simple tasks i used to be able to do are now hindered by anxiety. i let it stop me doing things i always enjoyed doing. even some days work is hard to go to and things like going to see family incase they ask me to stay for dinner is a nightmare. i get a very nervous stomache and can feel sick of have diarrhoea at the drop of a hat and this has turned in to a food phobia. i only feel comfortable eating at home. i have gone to peoples houses and restaurants but im so wound up i dont enjoy it and cant wait to get home. does anyone else have this problem? work xmas dinner will soon be here and im already worrying!!!!

Good to know someone feels the same but not as I know how hard it is. It won't upset me I know it's not going to be quick and easy. What is these days :-)

No never. I just get nervous pangs through my stomach and a upset stomach if I'm having a bad anxiety period of time. This week for example I'm off work my family who I haven't seen properly in 5 years are visiting, and it it's up to me to get my nan who had dementia ready. She's thankfully still able to feed and dress herself etc but sometimes needs extra help so I help her. It gets my anxiety going as I worry about her 24/7. I just get low appetite and have a fear of eating away from home as I know I'll get diarrhoea and it panics me more.
