I always get this shortness of breath feeling and some pressure on my chest.
Funny thing is I've tried Albuterol which is a asthma inhaler and it only made my symptoms 100 times worse.
Do any of you guys feel this ?

How often do you feel it?

I get it around night time, when I wake up during the night or sometimes when I go to bed.
It's pretty panicking not to be able to breathe. That's why I couldn't sleep last night. That and palpitations...not fun.

Have you guys been tested for asthma though ?
At first I only had palpitations but now I have this too.

I've often thought maybe mine was asthma causing it

I've actually been Dx with asthma 10 years ago, but I never had an asthma attack that I can remember of...
I did try my mom's pumps and it seemed to make it worse

It's probably anxiety misdiagnosed as asthma. I've had inhalers as well and been scared that my panic attacks are asthma. When you don't actually need the inhaler, it can speed up your heart and make you light headed and breathe too fast. I almost passed out from taking an inhaler puff when I didn't need one. It was the worst feeling in the world.

I was suffering with asthma for many years, but after I had my children and it was very mild. When I quit smoking it dissipated , Every time my panic is coming i take a salbutamol because of tightness in my lungs, the meds do not help, make you shaky. I should start probably with ativan. It is very confusing if you have anxiety .......
