Can teeth grinding cause this?

I've had terrible throat pain, ear pain and random toothaches all day. I've just got a mouth splint a couple of days ago and been using it. I used to have pain all down right side of my jaw but now it's shifted to the left side and front of my throat. It only seems to be muscle pain doesn't hurt when I swallow or anything. Could this be related to grinding and tensing? And why has it switched sides now? The dentist is going to start looking in to see if I have tmj? Thanks in advance :-)

Well my bride does not have an anxiety disorder but she gets very similar symptoms and grinds the hell out of her teeth.
