Mine's derealization, and i'm sure many people can agree. Derealization digs into the core of life and eats any of your happiness. I often get so bad at times where I feel no emotion at all. No sadness. No happiness. Sometimes life just passes me by and I watch it like it's a reality show. How about you guys?

I have derealization from anxiety. It's chronic, never goes away. But it does get worse when my anxiety levels are up or I start a new med. I think I've had it for 10 months. And I agree. It is by FAR the worst symptom...

I would say the same as you all. Derealization and my main symptom of dizziness and passing out. It just sucks that this is happening to people. I just don't really like the saying "its all in your head and its normal." I feel as though sometime a person can't understand something like that unless they experienced it. Constant panic/anxiety attacks are scary to me and its affected me not.only mentally but physically. Best wishes to you all.

^ It's basically feeling detached from yourself, like things around you aren't real anymore and everything's a fog..it's not good.

Does this derealization ever go away?

constant worry and bad feeling in my gut, panic attacks out of nowhere, shortness of breath.
I have never experienced derealization, though. The closest thing I get is "an empty head".

chest pains, flutters, and not being able to sleep. Its funny, if I do not have a flutter at night, I wonder why, then if I have them, I wonder why?? If I could figure out how to make them stop as soon as I lay down at night, and keep them away while I sleep, I would be a very happy person!

How do we get rid of derealization?

jayj404

My derealization goes away rarely. Some times I look at people and ask my self, are they the same as me? What if the way I see things is way different than other people? Do they even exist? It gets really scary at times, and the worst part is that you cant escape it. It's like being locked in a room with a tiger.

Yeah that's pretty bad... Couple that with panic attacks BECAUSE if it... And it's plain hell

Stomach pain and tachycardia. They are actually linked together. I eat. I get sick. My heart starts pounding. Most all the rest I can deal with with very little trouble, but those two make freak me out.

Could anybody explain what a heart series of heart palpitations feels like? I've had a lot of skipped beats, but they are spread out.

Sorta like your heart gurgles or burps.... They are called PAC /PVC . I get them everyday and have had many tests ...They are harmless . We just are to focused on them so we feel them.

Shakiness, dizzyness and loss of appetite. I miss eating but can't face anything at the minute, I'm just eating mechanically. Also the horrid thoughts constantly that I'm dying :-(

Well now that I was diagnosed with tinnitus it's that. It's constant and it's driving me nuts

also finding a way to think that I'm dying of some sort of disease because of a specific symptom I have..

My worst one has to be arm heaviness. (I have carpal tunnel, so that makes it even more fun!) It makes me feel like there is a heart issue, even when there are no other symptoms going on. Dizziness is so uncomfortable... I can see how it's on the top of a lot of lists. Oh, and my stomach gets upset at the drop of a hat. (Hat dropping also makes me anxious. lol) I definitely feel emotionally numb sometimes, and want to just shut down. It's a terrible feeling.

I hate when I loose my appetite. I'm under weight now which is just adding to my anxiety. I hate it when i'm starving and I make some good food, and then anxiety strikes and I just don't want to eat.

Do the majority of people on this app have DR as a symptom of anxiety. I feel so much better realizing how common it actually is:)
